Dear Friend, With Pride Month coming to a close, let’s continue to celebrate love, recognize the progress we’ve made in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights, and acknowledge that we still have work to do to achieve equality before the law. This month, I was grateful to join with many across our community to honor the spirit of pride and recommit to ensuring that all Americans, no matter how they identify or who they love, are protected against discrimination.

No one should have to live in fear or wonder whether their rights or lawful marriages will be upended by an out-of-touch Supreme Court or by extreme right-wing politicians. In Congress, I support the Equality Act to enshrine marriage equality and civil rights protections into federal law.


Equality for all people, regardless of their identity, is a founding principle of our country and one I will continue to fight for in Congress.
